Rock Systems Portable 5 Bin Blending Hopper complete as
follows:
a. Each hopper is 9’-6” wide x 14’ long
with 20 tons storage capacity constructed from 1/4”
thick steel plate with reinforcing at the hopper top and
mid-section; self-relieving tapered hopper bottom opening
to minimize bridging; full length skirtboards with adjustable
rubber flashing to prevent leakage between hopper bottom
and belt feeder; adjustable discharge gate to control material
flow from each hopper.
b. Support legs constructed of wide flange beams with base
pads.
c. Each belt feeder is 30” wide x 8’ long with
fixed speed Weg 5 h.p. electric motor, Falk 4207J25 shaft
mount speed reducer, v-belt drive and OSHA drive guard;
Precision 12” diameter rubber lagged head pulley mounted
on Dodge 2-7/16” SC pillow block bearings; Precision
12” diameter self-cleaning tail pulley mounted on
Dodge 1-15/16” SC pillow block bearings; screw take-up
assemblies; OSHA tail terminal guard and side nip guards;
Hewitt-Robins CEMA “B” flat belt idlers with
5” diameter rolls mounted on close centers; 3 ply
vulcanized endless conveyor belting. Belt speed setup for
90 fpm.
d. Collecting conveyor is 36” wide with fixed speed
Weg 15 h.p. electric motor, Falk 4207J14 shaft mount speed
reducer, v-belt drive and OSHA drive guard; Precision 12”
diameter rubber lagged head pulley mounted on Dodge 2-7/16”
SC pillow block bearings; Precision 12” diameter self-cleaning
tail pulley mounted on Dodge 2-3/16” SC wide slot
take-up bearings; screw take-up assemblies; OSHA tail terminal
guard; head pulley nip guards; Hewitt-Robins CEMA “B”
35 degree troughing idlers with 5” diameter rolls; Hewitt-Robins
CEMA “B” return idlers with 5” diameter
rolls; 2 ply conveyor belting with 3/16” x 1/16”
rubber covers; Flexco 140 mechanical belt splice; 6’
long conveyor extension beyond the hoppers.
e. Bolted connection between the 2nd hopper, 3rd hopper
and collecting conveyor to accommodate truck freight and
the addition of future bins.
f. One rust inhibitor prime coat and one finish coat gray
paint for all equipment; one finish coat safety yellow paint
for all guarding.
